Rural Housing Week 2020 – shining a spotlight on the vital role played by housing in the survival of rural communities and services
Rural Housing Week is our annual celebration of rural housing and the vital role it plays in helping to sustain thriving rural communities and services.
Taking place from 6 to 10 July 2020, this is an opportunity to highlight key rural issues and shine a spotlight on successful developments that offer a lifeline to local people in our market towns and villages.
Due to the challenges presented by the coronavirus crisis, some of the plans have changed for this year’s Rural Housing Week. However, there will be a lot of online and media activities taking place nationally and around the country to put extra focus on the great work that rural housing associations are doing in so many rural towns and villages.
The National Housing Federation will be coordinating things and you can find more information via this link.
Plus, watch out for the hashtag #RuralCommunitiesTogether on social media.
Members of the Rural Housing Alliance have many, many examples of excellent projects across the length of rural England. Here are a few (click on the thumbnail to open the case study)
